Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR) Ng膩 Hiranga Whakamana, Whaka艒rite (CMR)

The Consent and Moderation Requirements document covers certain sub-fields, domains or standards that are listed on the Directory of Assessment and Skill Standards (DASS).

The CMR states what providers need to do to get permission to assess the standards, who else to contact, and how the marking of assessments is checked.

Every standard on the DASS is linked to a CMR.

Consent to assess lets education organisations teach and assess unit or achievement standards. After that, the organisations can award the relevant credits to learners.

Consistent assessment Aromatawai T奴mau (艑rite)

Consistent assessment means that different assessors, in similar assessment situations, will make the same judgement.

Course endorsement (NCEA) Whakamanatanga 膩-H艒taka

Secondary students can get course endorsement for NCEA. They need 14 credits or more at either Merit or Excellence in the same school course to get a Merit or Excellence for that course.

At least three of the credits must come from externally assessed standards, and at least three credits from internally assessed standards. The only exceptions are for Physical Education, Religious Studies and Level 3 Visual Arts.

Credit Whiwhinga

One credit represents ten hours of learning (notional learning hours).

Each assessment standard, micro-credential and qualification has a credit value. Once someone has completed it, they can be awarded those credits.
