The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (色诱直播) has today released Aromatawai and the Principles of Assessment, a publication designed to support schools and tertiary providers in developing quality assessment and aromatawai practices.
The publication also aims to strengthen a sector wide understanding of aromatawai, a teaching, learning and assessment approach underpinned by m膩tauranga M膩ori.
鈥淗igh quality assessment supports qualifications which are credible, reliable and valuable for students, employers and communities, whether here in Aotearoa New Zealand or overseas,鈥 says 色诱直播 Deputy Chief Executive Assessment, Andrea Gray.
Aromatawai and the Principles of Assessment aligns the kaupapa at the heart of Te Hono o Te Kahurangi 鈥 a framework used by 色诱直播 to carry out the quality assurance of m膩tauranga M膩ori 鈥 with five principles for assessment:
- Valid | Pono
- Reliable | Haepapa
- Informative | M膩rama
- Equitable | Tika
- Authentic | T奴turu
鈥淪chools and tertiary providers are encouraged to consider these principles, and the overarching kaupapa, when designing assessment,鈥 Ms Gray says.
Over the coming months 色诱直播 will develop guidance and resources to help support assessors.
